90% Key Runners Overlook
Many runners ask a question:
I've practiced a lot, so why can't I perform well in competitions?
Actually, the problem usually isn't with training.
but rather in a much-overlooked area—recovery.
But most people do the opposite.
The week before the competition, aiming for a better result, I pushed through my usual training, increasing the intensity and bearing the difficulty.
But your body is actually very tired.
From a sports science perspective, pre-competition "tapering + recovery" can genuinely have a positive impact on performance.
Simply put, it's about reducing training volume to let fatigue dissipate while maintaining physical capacity.
Only when you take the field like this will your condition be good.
Performance on the field isn't determined by who fights harder.
but rather who gets their body into the best condition before the competition.
If you've had a competition recently, remember one thing: stop thinking about practicing a little more and let your body recover.
